Pickin' on the Square
Once-per-month from May until October
Each month during the summer, Franklin hosts Pickin' on the Square just down the street from First Baptist. With hundreds of people literally at our doorstep, we cannot pass up such an incredible opportunity to show them the love of our Lord! Come join us as we serve the children of our community through balloon animals, face painting, and crafts!

Operation Inasmuch
First Baptist Church joins in hundreds of other North Carolina churches for a day of missions. We have planted flowers, cleaned up the city, served tourists, and participated in building projects all in the name of Jesus our Lord!
Appalachian Trail Ministry
March 29-April 14
First Baptist Church partnered with an established Appalachian Trail ministry, Appalachian Trail Servants, to serve hikers in the area. Each year, about 1000 hikers walk through Franklin and First Baptist was happy to serve them!
In 2009, 45 volunteers from the church served breakfast to over 300 hikers. The hikers were from 40 states and 5 countries! The hikers walked away knowing that Christ's Church loves them and some of them even chose to take Christian apologetic literature.
